(EVANSVILLE, INDIANA) - A two-run tenth-inning, walk-off home run from shortstop Ryan Kresky completed an Evansville Otters comeback in a 7-5 win over the Southern Illinois Miners on Thursday.

With the win, Evansville (12-5) remains in first place of the Frontier League East Division and also completes the team's first sweep of the season.

Evansville led 1-0 in the third inning with an RBI double from catcher John Nester. It would be Evansville's last lead until Kresky's tenth inning home run.

Southern Illinois gained the lead with a two-run fifth inning only to see Evansville tie the contest in that bottom half of the inning.

Tied at two, Southern Illinois added a pair of runs in the seventh inning to re-gain the lead.

The teams would each score a run in the next half innings before the Otters tied the game in the eighth.

Down 5-3, outfielder John Schultz single to center field but the ball was misplaced by Tyler Hall. The ball crept away towards the warning track as Kresky scored on the play. Then, outfielder C.J. Henry hit a game-tying triple to deep right-center field that brought the crowd of 3,690 to their feet.

Neither team would score in the ninth as the game was 5-5 into the 10th . Closer Eric Massingham (1-1) yielded a one out single but catcher John Nester caught Ryan Curl trying to steal second base.

In the bottom half of the inning, designated hitter Taylor Black led off with an infield single and moved to second base on a throwing error. He would score two batters later on the walk-off home run from Kresky, securing the sweep.

Schultz and Henry both finished with three hits in the Otters win.
