Eryk Williamson Called up to U-23 U.S. Men's National Team Training Camp Ahead of CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Championship

PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Timbers midfielder Eryk Williamson has been called into a 31-player training camp by the U-23 U.S. Men's National Team ahead of the Concacaf Men's Olympic Qualifying Championship in Guadalajara, Mexico.

Williamson, 23, tallied three goals and five assists in a career-high 21 appearances (17 starts) for Portland in 1,417 minutes of action during the 2020 MLS regular season. The Alexandria, Va., native tallied three goals and six assists in 26 appearances (22 starts) across all competitions for the Timbers in 2020. At the international level, Williamson was most recently called in by the U-23 USMNT for a domestic training camp last month.

The players will train in Mexico before head coach Jason Kreis selects the final 20-player tournament roster later in March. The U.S. kicks off Olympic qualifying Thursday, March 18 vs. Costa Rica at 2 p.m. (Pacific), faces Dominican Republic on Sunday, March 21 at 4 p.m. (Pacific) and wraps up the group stage vs. Mexico on Wednesday, March 24 at 6:30 p.m. (Pacific). All three U.S. group stage games will be broadcast on FS1 and TUDN.
