----- Tonight, the SeaWolves continue a six-game road trip as they begin a three-game weekend series against the Richmond Flying Squirrels (San Francisco Giants) at The Diamond. Trenton completed a three-game sweep of the SeaWolves last night, dealing the 'Wolves their most lopsided loss of the season (11-0). The SeaWolves have now dropped six straight and eight of their last nine away from Jerry Uht Park...Richmond comes into play today in a fourth place tie with Altoona in the EL West. Both Erie and Richmond are 5-5 in the last 10 games. The Flying Squirrels dominated the 2011 season series with Erie taking eight of the 10 meetings. Erie has struggled in two years playing at the Diamond going 4-10 (1-6 in 2011)...Today, lefty Jared Wesson takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his 10th start and first against the Flying Squirrels. Wesson is 2-0 with two no-decision in his last four starts. He missed his last start after taking a line drive to the head during batting practice. Wesson's last start came on May 22 against Reading where he tossed six innings, allowing four runs on six hits and took a no-decision...The Flying Squirrels send EL Pitcher of the Week Chris Heston to the mound making his 11th start. Heston has won consecutive starts over Bowie and Trenton allowing three runs, one earned, on 12 hits with four walks and 20 strikeouts in 14.0 innings pitched. Heston has allowed just nine runs, five earned, in 64.2 innings pitched this season...Despite playing in the same division, this marks the SeaWolves lone trip into Richmond. The Flying Squirrels will visit Erie once in late July.
