Tonight, the SeaWolves look to snap a five-game post-all-star break losing streak as they host the Reading Phillies (Philadelphia Phillies) in the middle game of a three game series at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the 'Wolves dropped their fifth straight following a 6-1 loss to the R-Phils. Erie has now score two runs or fewer in four of the last five games. The 'Wolves have been outscored 37-10 over the last five games...Righty Anthont Shawler takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his fourth spot start and second start in as many outings. He took a loss to Akron in his last start on July 15 allowing two runs on six hits with two walks and three strikeouts in four innings of work. In three starts this season, Shawler is 0-1 with a 1.93 ERA...RHP J.C. Ramirez takes the mound for Reading. Ramirez is making his 18th start and seventh with the Phillies. In his last start against Trenton, Ramirez went eight innings (season-high) allowing three runs on 10 hits with no walks and a season-high nine strikeouts in a loss.
