----- Tonight, the SeaWolves begin their final homestand of the 2012 season as they take on the Altoona Curve (Pittsburgh Pirates) in the opening game of a four-game series at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the SeaWolves dropped the final game of a four game series at Bowie 8-6. The win for Bowie puts the Baysox and Akron Aeros into the playoffs for the Western Division...Today, lefty Ramon Garcia takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his 22nd appearance, 21st start and second start against the Curve. He took a loss in his only other start against Altoona on May 20. Garcia won his ninth game in his last start at Reading on August 26. In the game, he shut out the Phillies in six innings allowing five hits with a walk and four strikeouts. Erie won the game 9-1...RHP Jameson Taillon takes the mound for the Curve making his third start with Altoona. Taillon has won his first two starts with the Curve, not allowing a run over his first 11.0 Double-A innings. Taillon began the season with Class-A Bradenton where he made 23 starts, posting a 6-8 record and 3.82 ERA...This afternoon, OF Avisail Garcia was promoted to the Tigers. He is the second SeaWolves player to play in Erie and go to the big leagues in 2012 (Rob Brantly is the other)...Niuman Romero is third all-time in SeaWolves history with 155 hits in a season. Next up on the list is Will Rhymes who connected on 158 hits in 2008.
