Trenton Thunder News Release
(Binghamton, NY) - Binghamton hit three home runs against Brett Marshall in the first two innings and built a 7-0 lead and the Mets held on late for an 8-5 win over the Trenton Thunder Friday night at NYSEG Stadium. Despite the loss, the Thunder's (77-62) magic number for clinching a playoff the Eastern Division top spot was trimmed to one when Reading fell at Portland.

Trenton rallied to score the game's final five runs, including four in the seventh and one in the eighth on Luke Murton's 25th long ball of the season. Ryan Fraser recorded a 1-2-3 save (4) in the ninth inning to squelch the comeback attempt.
