Tonight, the Erie SeaWolves will take on the Akron RubberDucks for the first time in 2019. Erie is coming off winning three of four against Bowie, in which they did not allow an earned run through the final 36.0 innings and outscored the Baysox 16-to-1. Akron enters the series after losing three of four versus Reading at Canal Park. All three losses were by three runs or less and the final two double-header defeats came in extra innings. The SeaWolves will send Gregory Soto to the hill, still searching for his first Double-A victory after taking the loss on May 2 vs. Bowie. He allowed two runs on six hits in 5.1 innings, while striking out seven and walking none. The 24-year old has allowed a home run in each of his first two starts. He will be opposed by Tanner Tully, who was tagged for a season-high six runs against Binghamton on May 1. The 2016, 24th round selection by Cleveland was teammates with Erie outfielder, Troy Montgomery at The Ohio State University. They were a part of six Buckeyes taken in that draft class.
