Tonight, the Erie SeaWolves go for back-to-back wins against the Reading Fightin Phils at FirstEnergy Stadium. The SeaWolves and Fightin Phils split a doubleheader on Tuesday with Reading taking game one (continuation of a suspended game on May 30) by a 5-4 final in 10 innings. The SeaWolves scored a pair of runs in the top of the seventh to take game two 5-3. Alex Faedo takes the mound for the SeaWolves and is coming off of a loss in his last start on June 5 against Altoona. Faedo only went three innings due to a rain delay and allowed two earned runs on four hits. In his last start against Reading, Faedo fired 6.1 shutout innings and recorded a career-high 12 strikeouts. It was the most by an Erie pitcher since 2006. Mauricio Llovera makes his 10th start on the season for the Fightins and has lost two of his past three starts. In his last start on June 5 at Akron, Llovera took the loss despite giving up just two earned runs on three hits in six innings. He tied a season-high with eight strikeouts and walked two. The right-hander pitched a scoreless inning against the 'Wolves on May 30 in a rain-suspended game. Llovera, a native of Venezuela, was a 19-year old undrafted free agent signee by the Philadelphia Phillies in 2015.
