Tonight, Erie begins their first series of the season against the Reading Fightin Phils at FirstEnergy Stadium. Erie is coming off a series split with the Bowie, earning a come-from-behind 4-1 victory on Monday. After allowing 22 runs over the first two games, the SeaWolves held the Baysox to one combined run in the final two contests. The Phils split their last series at Harrisburg including a 4-3 defeat yesterday at FNB Field. Logan Shore goes today in Erie's first of nine meetings this season with Reading. His last time out on May 22 at Hartford, Shore took the loss after allowing three runs on four hits in five innings. He is opposed by David Parkinson, who is coming off back-to-back wins in his past two starts. His last outing on May 22 at Richmond, the left-hander held the Squirrels to one run on five hits in six innings with nine strikeouts. Parkinson was a 12th round selection in 2017 out of the University of Mississippi.
