Tonight, the SeaWolves take on the Portland Sea Dogs (Boston Red Sox) in doubleheader action at Hadlock Field. On Sunday, the SeaWolves tossed their second shutout in six games as they blanked the Harrisburg Senators 5-0. Michael Fulmer earned his second win in an Erie uniform... Right-hander Warwick Saupold takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his 22nd appearance, 15th start and second appearance against the Sea Dogs. Saupold earned his first save since 2012 in his last appearance against the Sea Dogs on August 6. In the game, he tossed three shutout innings, allowing one hit with a walk and five strikeouts in three innings of relief. Erie won the game 10-1... RHP Aaron Wilkerson takes the mound for Portland making his second start and second against the SeaWolves. In his last start against the 'Wolves on August 5, he allowed five runs on five hits with three walks and four strikeouts in 4.2 innings of work. Wilkerson has spent time with Low-A Greenville and High-A Salem in the Red Sox system this season. In Greenville, Wilkerson posted no record and a 4.76 ERA. With Salem, Wilkerson made 17 appearances, 12 starts, posting a 7-2 record and 2.96 ERA. Wilkerson took a no-decision in his last start against Lynchburg on July 30. In the game, he allowed three runs on four hits with four walks and two strikeouts in four innings. Righty Austin Kubitza makes his 22nd start of the season and second against the Sea Dogs in game two of the doubleheader. Kubitza earned a win in his last start against the Sea Dogs on August 6. In the game, he allowed an unearned run on six hits with two walks and four strikeouts in six innings of work. Erie won the game 10-1.
