The SeaWolves could not complete the doubleheader sweep on Wednesday night at Hadlock Field as they dropped game two 6-4.

Jordan Weems followed with an RBI knock, scoring Lawley, making it 3-0 Portland.

Erie quickly tied the game in the top of the third against Portland starter Heri Quevedo. Harold Castro led off with his first of three hits. Wynton Bernard and Jason Krizan each followed and beat out bunt singles, loading the bases for JaCoby Jones. A wild pitch scored Castro and advanced Bernard to third and Krizan to second. Jones walked to reload the bases for Dean Green. Green hit into a 1-2-3 double play, failing to bring home a run. James Robbins then lined a single to center, plating the game tying runs.

The Sea Dogs jumped right back ahead in the last of the third. With two on and two outs, Lawley blasted a three-run home run over the scoreboard in left-center for a 6-3 lead.

Erie got one back in the fourth when Connor Harrell connected on an opposite-field home run, his fifth, making it a 6-4 game. The 'Wolves would get no closer.

Kubitza (7-11) took the loss despite tossing a complete game. He allowed six runs on seven hits with two walks and two strikeouts in six innings.
