ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...

The SeaWolves have dropped four of their last five games heading into tonight's game, the second game of a four-game set against the Bowie Baysox (Baltimore Orioles) at Prince George's Stadium. The Baysox took the series opener on Friday night, 6-4. Bowie struck for a pair of runs in the bottom of the eighth inning and shut down the 'Wolves in the ninth to pick up the win. The loss dropped the SeaWolves to 6-12 in series openers. The 'Wolves have dropped seven of their last eight meetings against the Baysox. The club is 4-4 at Prince George's Stadium and have not won a game in Bowie since a season-opening series sweep....The Baysox snapped a two-game slide with last night's win over Erie and they are 6-4 in the last 10 games, 4.5 games behind first place Akron and one game ahead of third place Harrisburg...Erie sits in a fourth place tie in the South with Altoona, 16.5 games behind Akron...Righty Ben Fritz takes the mound for the Howlers, looking to snap a two-game losing skid. Fritz took a loss in his last outing against Akron going six innings, allowing six runs on seven hits with three walks and four strikeouts. Fritz has allowed seven walks in his last 12.0 innings pitched. He is 1-3 with a no-decision since returning from the disabled list...RHP Jason Berken takes the mound for the Baysox, making his 17th appearance and 16th start of the season. He is 1-1 with an no-decision in three starts against Erie. Berken has won two straight starts (vs. Akron and Harrisburg).
