ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION...
Tonight, the SeaWolves look for two straight wins as they begin a seven-game road trip and a four-game series at Prince George's Stadium against the Bowie Baysox (Baltimore Orioles). Erie avoided a four-game series sweep with a 2-0 win over Akron on Thursday. The shutout was Erie's fifth of the season and first since June 12 in a 5-0 win in a rain-shortened game at Portland. The SeaWolves are 5-5 in their last 10 games and are back in a fourth place tie with Altoona, 14.5 games behind first place Akron...The Baysox are 6-4 in their last 10 games and are in second place in the Southern Division, 4.5 games behind Akron. Bowie has dropped two straight and the club is coming off of a series split with Harrisburg...Head-to-head, the Baysox lead the season series 8-6. Erie is 4-3 at Prince George's Stadium. Bowie has won six of their last seven against Erie...Erie is looking to improve on their road record which has dropped to 19-26 following the team losing seven of the last 10 away from Jerry Uht Park...Righty Andrew Kown takes the mound for the âWolves in the series opener, making his 17th appearance and 16th start of the season. It will be his third start against Bowie. He is 1-1 against the Baysox and is 1-0 in Bowie. Kown picked up a win in his last outing against Harrisburg going 5.1 innings, allowing five runs on four hits with six walks and four strikeouts...RHP Chris Tillman makes his third start against Erie. He is 2-0 against the âWolves. Tillman has taken no-decisions in his last two outings.
