ENTERING TONIGHT'S ACTION... Tonight, the SeaWolves continue their seven-game road trip as they take on the Bowie Baysox (Baltimore Orioles) in doubleheader action at Prince George's Stadium. Last night's rainout was the first of the season for the ‘Wolves. Erie has dropped two straight games and the club looks to avoid its second three game losing skid of the season. Following Sunday's loss to Altoona, the ‘Wolves are now a game over .500 and in third place in the Southern Division, 2.5 games behind first place Akron. With Wednesday's 11 a.m. game, the SeaWolves and Baysox will play three games in a span of 24 hours...Lefty Jon Kibler takes the mound for Erie in game one. Kibler makes his third start of the season and his second against Bowie. Kibler's one loss came against Bowie on April 15. In the game, he went 5.2 innings, allowing six runs on nine hits with two walks and three strikeouts. Kibler, who walked just 30 hitters in 154.1 innings pitched in 2008 with West Michigan, has walked five in 9.2 innings this season...In game two, the ‘Wolves will send righty Alfredo Figaro to the bump. Figaro tossed seven hitless innings in his last start at Altoona. Erie lost the no-hitter in the ninth inning with two outs. Figaro makes his first appearance against the Baysox. On Monday, he was named EL Pitcher of the Week. Through two starts, Figaro has allowed no runs on five hits in 12.2 innings of work...The Baysox send RHP Jake Arrieta to the mound in game one. Arrieta makes his second start against Erie and is 1-0 against the Howlers. Lefty Troy Patton has yet to allow a run in 11 innings. He makes his first start against Erie in game two.

TODAY'S NOTABLES - - 11 of the 24 players on Erie's roster are featured among the Top 30 prospects in the Tigers organization according to Baseball America. - Erie will see just two different opponents (Altoona and Bowie) in the first two weeks of the season. (8 vs. Altoona and 6 vs. Bowie). - Bowie leads the season series over Erie 3-0. The SeaWolves and Baysox will meet 19 times in 2009. - Erie's pitching staff ranks seventh in the league with a 3.90 ERA. Bowie's pitching staff ranks sixth in the league with a 3.56 team ERA. - Mike Hollimon is listed as day-to-day after crashing into the wall down the left field line in last Tuesday night's game. - Erie's offense ranks sixth in the EL with a .246 team batting average. Bowie is ranked fourth with a .249 team average. - Scott Sizemore is tied for eighth the league with a .364 batting average. Sizemore is in a four-way tie for the league lead with two triples. Sizemore is also tied for the league lead with 16 hits. He has hit safely in nine of 11 games this season and has four multi-hit games. - Max Leon and Ryan Strieby are tied for third in the league with six extra-base hits. - Alfredo Figaro has been named Eastern League Pitcher of the Week. Both Figaro and Brooks Brown are two of the six starting pitchers in the league with an ERA of 0.00.
