New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release


Norwich, CT- Tonight's scheduled game between the New Hampshire Fisher Cats and the Connecticut Defenders at Dodd Stadium has been postponed because of rain. The teams will now play a doubleheader tomorrow (Wednesday) morning at 11:05am. There will be two seven-inning games.

The Fisher Cats are scheduled to start LHP Luis Perez (1-1, 1.50) and RHP Randy Boone (1-0, 0.00). The Defenders will counter with RHP Nick Pereira (0-0, 2.57) and LHP Jesse English (0-0, 8.44). The BayRing Communications Pre-Game Show begins at 10:45am with Bob Lipman on the WGIR Fisher Cats Radio Network.

It was also announced today that last night's suspended game with Connecticut will be completed prior to the regularly scheduled game in Norwich on Saturday May 16. The game will be resumed at 5:05pm in the top of the 6th with the score tied 0-0. A regularly scheduled nine-inning game will follow the completion of the suspended game.

The Fisher Cats open a four-game series against the Binghamton Mets on Thursday, April 23, with a 6:35pm game at Merchantsauto.com Stadium. The first 2,000 kids in attendance will receive a free Coca-Cola Fisher Cats Pennant. For tickets, visit www.nhfishercats.com or call (603) 641-2005.
