
Eric Lindquist named Director of Media Relations and Broadcasting for the Ice Dogs

LONG BEACH, Calif. - The Long Beach Ice Dogs announced today that they have hired Eric Lindquist as Director of Media Relations and Broadcasting. Lindquist will serve as the full-time play-by-play announcer for all 72 regular season and play-off games for the Long Beach Ice Dogs on the B2 Networks.
Lindquist comes to Long Beach from the Boston area where he spent the last two seasons as the full-time color commentator for the Stanley Cup Champion Carolina Hurricanes and the Colorado Avalanche American Hockey League affiliate the Lowell Lock Monsters. Eric was also a regular guest on the Colorado Avalanche pre-game show on "The Fan" in Denver, CO. Lindquist also served as the color commentator for the Lowell Spinners, an affiliate of the Boston Red Sox.
Prior to Lowell, the 27-year-old native of North Andover, MA served as an Executive Assistant to the President at Game Day Sports Management, an NFL Sports Agency in Los Angeles. A graduate of Northeastern University, Lindquist covered men's hockey and baseball via student radio and served as an Intern for the Boston Bruins for three seasons. Along with Broadcasting, Lindquist will also handle all day-to-day public relations issues for the Ice Dogs and will serve as the main contact for the Media.
"I am extremely excited to be a part of the new generation of the Long Beach Ice Dogs," Lindquist said. "I look forward to being the first full time play-by-play announcer since Ted Sobel in the IHL Days for the Ice Dogs. There is huge potential here in Long Beach, and I can't wait to get the season started. I plan on having a lot of fun."
"The Ice Dogs are thrilled to have Eric on board for the upcoming season," said Managing Partner/Owner Steven Bash.
