Johnstown Chiefs News Release

Johnstown, PA (September 25, 2006) - The Johnstown Chiefs today announced the signing of left wing Randy Rowe for the 2006-07 season.

A native of Burford, Ont., Rowe appeared in 45 regular season games with the Chiefs in 2005-06, finishing second on the team with 28 goals and adding 15 assists for a total of 43 points. He also played in three games with the AHL's Springfield Falcons, recording two penalty minutes. In five Kelly Cup Playoff games with Johnstown, Rowe scored four points (2g, 2a).

"I think it's great to have Randy Rowe back in Johnstown," stated Chiefs head coach Frank Anzalone. "He's a good, honest player, and he's made a commitment to our team. We're happy he's getting a chance in Springfield right now, and if he can move up, that's great, and if he comes down here, he'll be a player that will help us win some games. We're glad he's on board."

Entering his sixth professional season, the 5-11, 180-pound Rowe has scored 246 points (121g, 125a) in 293 career ECHL regular season games with Peoria and Johnstown, and three goals and two assists in 14 Kelly Cup Playoff games.
