Reno Aces News Release
RENO, Nev.-Barry Enright dealt his fourth quality start of the season Tuesday night, lifting the Reno Aces to a 4-3 victory over the Las Vegas 51s at Aces Ballpark.
Enright (3-1) worked six-plus innings, scattering two runs on five hits with four walks and three strikeouts.
The Aces jumped on the board first with a run in the fourth on an RBI single for Ryan Budde. Las Vegas knotted the score in the sixth, but in the home half of the frame, Reno struck again. This time a two-run home run off the bat of Taylor Harbin gave the Aces a lead they would not relinquish.
After Enright's exit, Bryan Woodall dealt a scoreless frame, and Jonathan Albaladejo closed things out with a two-inning save-his second of the season.
The loss fell to 51s starter Aaron Laffey (0-4), who surrendered three runs on eight hits over 5.2 innings of work.
At the plate for Reno, Budde and Harbin accounted for all four of the Aces' runs batted in on the night. Josh Bell and Evan Frey added two-hit efforts for Reno.
The Aces and 51s hit the third leg of the series on Wednesday night at Aces Ballpark. RHP Joe Martinez (0-1, 4.42 ERA) gets the nod for Reno, while RHP Jesse Chavez (3-1, 2.51 ERA) counters for the 51s. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m. PT. If they Aces win, all fans in attendance will receive $4 off a future game ticket as part of Aces WINSdays.
