Express Rally Late to Defeat Zephyrs

ROUND ROCK, Texas - The Round Rock Express scored six eighth inning runs to rally past the New Orleans Zephyrs 10-5 in front of 6,087 fans at The Dell Diamond. The Express trailed 5-4 and sent ten batters to the plate scoring six runs on four hits in the inning. The reliable Zephyrs bullpen had been perfect saving all 11 opportunities this season. Mike Dunn suffers the loss in his second appearance since joining the Zephyrs from the Marlins. New Orleans rallied earlier in the game to overcome a two run deficit. Luke Montz homered for the second consecutive game and drove in two runs for New Orleans. Matt Kata drove home the go ahead runs in the eighth inning with a two out two run single. Joey Butler and Tommy Mendonca added a pair of RBI for the Express. Ben Snyder pitched a scoreless inning and earned the win in relief.

Game Notes - The Zephyrs lost for the third time this season when scoring first (10-3). Z's reliever Rob Delaney extended his scoreless innings streak to 19 innings, pitched two scoreless in the game. Chris Aguila picked up his first RBI of the season in his 17th game. Aguila was ejected in the seventh inning by DJ Reyburn. The Zephyrs turned three double plays in the game, 21 for the season.
