Engelland Assigned By Lowell

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers announced defenseman Deryk Engelland has been assigned by the Lowell Lock Monsters of the AHL.

Engelland begins his third stint of the season with the Wranglers. In his two previous tenures, Engelland posted one goal and two assists for three points in 13 games. The rugged blueliner added 29 penalty minutes with Las Vegas. In two stints with Lowell Engelland suited up in 10 games with zero points and 10 penalty minutes. Engelland was drafted by the New Jersey Devils in Round 6 (#194 Overall) of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. Engelland signed as a free agent with the NHL's Calgary Flames this past summer.

Las Vegas will host the Peoria Rivermen Friday and Saturday night at 7:05 pm. The Wranglers will giveaway "The Duke" bobbleheads sponsored by Alliance Residential Company to the first 1,500 fans through the gates of the Orleans Arena on Friday. Saturday night Las Vegas will giveaway player card sets sponsored by Dr. Afshin Azimi, DDS to the first 2,000 fans.
