GREENVILLE, S.C. - March 3, 2013 - The Elmira Jackals face the Greenville Road Warriors today in the rubber match of a three game series in Greenville. After a win last night, the Jackals are looking to claim at least one standings point for the eighth game in a row.

The Jackals are facing the Road Warriors tonight for the final of five meetings this season and the third of three at BI-LO Center. The Jackals are 3-0-1 against Greenville this season with two of the three wins coming at First Arena. Elmira is 2-1-1 in regular season play all-time in Greenville. They also dropped a pair of playoff games here in April of 2011. Elmira and Greenville are almost identical statistically with only one point separating the teams in the standings while Elmira (202) has scored nine more goals than Greenville (193) and the Road Warriors have allowed one fewer (178 to 179). Two of the four games between Elmira and Greenville have been decided by one goal.
Elmira suffered a season-worst 6-1 road loss in Reading on January 19. Since that night, their fortunes away from home have been much better. They have won six of their last nine on the road and only lost twice in regulation (6-2-1). Last night's win in Greenville moved Elmira to two games over .500 on the road for the first time this season, (14-12-3) and into a tie for fifth for the most road wins. Elmira has scored three goals or more in eight of its last nine games and is averaging 3.78 goals per game in that time.
