Tonight's Matchup: The San Francisco Bulls (21-30-1-6) complete their six-game road trip this afternoon against the Las Vegas Wranglers (29-24-2-3). This is the fifth of six meetings between the two teams, with the Bulls behind in the season series 1-2-1-0. The two will face-off once more a week from today back at the Cow Palace.

On Friday night, the Bulls and Wranglers fought a tightly contested match, but two power-play goals were enough for Las Vegas to come away with the win, 2-1. Yanni Gourde scored his first goal in a Bulls uniform, a shorthanded tally from a beautiful feed from Christian Ouellet. This was Ouellet's ninth assist for the Bulls this season. Despite the two goals, Thomas Heemskerk performed well in net, stopping 22 of 24 shots he faced. Jordan Clendenning and Captain Scott Langdon both dropped the gloves for the Bulls.

With their win on Friday night, Las Vegas has clinched a playoff spot. Currently in fifth place in the Western Conference with 63 points, the Wranglers have two point lead on the Colorado Eagles, who defeated the Wranglers, 5-3 last night. San Francisco sits in eighth place, eight points ahead of the Bakersfield Condors, and five points behind the seventh place Utah Grizzlies.

The Bulls return home next week, Wednesday March 6, to take on the Alaska Aces. They will host Eco-Friendly weekend on March 8 and 9. Call 855-SF-BULLS for tickets to any of the upcoming home games.
