Bulls Finish Road Trip with 6-2 Loss in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The San Francisco Bulls (21-31-1-6) were defeated by the Las Vegas Wranglers (31-24-2-3), 6-2, Sunday afternoon at Orleans Arena. The Bulls finish their six-game road trip 2-4 and return home for 10 out of the last 13 games. They open up a three-game set against the Alaska Aces on Wednesday.

The Wranglers took a 3-0 lead after one period of play. Scott Pitt put Las Vegas up 1-0 at 6:07 of the first period. The Wranglers scored twice on the power play. Jamie Fritsch scored with 9:19 remaining and then Sean Wiles tallied a marker with 1:49 left.

In the second period, Las Vegas added to their lead. Chris Francis scored with 5:38 remaining for a 4-0 advantage.

The third period finished even, 2-2, in scoring. Las Vegas went up 5-0 on Wiles' second of the game at 5:29. The Bulls scored twice in 57 seconds to cut it to a 5-2 lead. Tristan King scored his 20th of the season off of a feed from Bryan Cameron. Jordan Clendenning also assisted on the play with 9:27 left in regulation. Simon Danis-Pepin tallied his third goal of the road trip, with assists to Dean Ouellet and Peter Sivak. Francis scored in the final minute for a final of 6-2.

The Bulls return home next week, Wednesday March 6, to take on the Alaska Aces. They will host Eco-Friendly weekend on March 8 and 9. Call 855-SF-BULLS for tickets to any of the upcoming home games.
