CHARLESTON, SC - One of the longest Charleston RiverDogs homestands in 2014 is coming to Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park from Monday, May 26 through Sunday, June 1. In an eight-game homestand, the RiverDogs host the Greenville Drive and the Asheville Tourists. "Re-Opening Night" on a May 27 doubleheader punctuates the continuation of Charleston's in-state rivalry with Greenville while "Bark for Your Brew" precedes the finale against Asheville on June 1.

Monday, May 26, 7:05 pm: Coors and Z93 Jamz present Dollar Dogs and Beers Night, with $1 hot dogs and $1 drafts in the Ashley View Pub. The RiverDogs and the Drive will continue their season-long Battle of the Palmetto State Rivalry Series, presented by Spinx. "Dogs with a Cause" will feature Habitat for Humanity of Dorchester County. It will also be Memorial Day as the RiverDogs open this eight-game homestand.

Tuesday, May 27, 6:05 pm (DH): It is Re-Opening Night as the RiverDogs make up an Opening Night rainout in a doubleheader against Greenville on Harris Teeter 2-for-$20 Date Night, courtesy of Nash FM. Gates open at 5 pm on Re-Opening Night, which will include a pregame parade that concludes with players arriving on horse-drawn carriages, a rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner from national recording artist and local star Elise Testone and a host of fun surprises. Couples who show their Harris Teeter VIC Card at the box office receive two tickets to the twin bill, two tacos, two fountain drinks and a nacho tray for just $20. Tuesday's action also continues The Battle of the Palmetto State Rivalry Series, presented by Spinx.

Wednesday, May 28, 7:05 pm: All senior citizens (age 65 & older) that enter The Joe before 7 pm on HealthSouth Senior Wednesday, sponsored by MeTV, receive a food voucher for a free hot dog, a bag of chips and a 16-ounce fountain drink. There is also an Early Bird Special, available for all fans until 7 pm, and it includes a hot dog, a basket of fries and a fountain drink for only $6. Firefighters Night, presented by ServiceMaster, will be celebrated as firefighters look to raise money for the MUSC Children's Hospital Burned Children's Fund. "Dogs with a Cause" is presented by the Charleston County Parks Conservancy. The series finale against the Drive is part of The Battle of the Palmetto State Rivalry Series, presented by Spinx. The RiverDogs are also guaranteed a win on Wins-Day, so if the RiverDogs lose their game, all fans in attendance may use their tickets to get into the next Wednesday home game for free.

Thursday, May 29, 7:05 pm: It is Budweiser Thirsty Thursday, sponsored by 95SX, with the Ashley View Pub hosting $1 drafts, DJ Natty and Wild Wing Cafe providing a wing-eating contest. ISHPI presents Military Appreciation Night, which gives all active and retired military members free admission for themselves and their immediate family members by showing a Military ID at the box office. The RiverDogs have partnered with Palmetto Brewery to serve Homefront IPA, a special craft beer aged with Louisville Slugger baseball bats, with all proceeds benefitting Operation Homefront. Palmetto Brewery and Awendaw Green are also sponsoring a concert by Simple Syrup, which will start near the end of Thursday's game adjacent to the Beer Garden.

Friday, May 30, 7:05 pm: Wear red to the game on ISHPI Red Shirt Friday, presented by 103.5 WEZL, and save $1 off your ticket purchase at the box office or donate that dollar to Canines for Veterans and Folds of Honor. Visit the Ashley View Pub for $3 Aluminum Pint Night from Miller and Coors. Boy Scouts Night invites local Boy Scouts to enjoy some baseball and stay after the contest to camp out on the field overnight. Titus the Wonder Dog from Canines for Veterans is back to show off his batboy skills. Once again, the RiverDogs will wear special red jerseys and honor a military family at Friday's game, which is also sponsored by the Dermatology & Laser Center of Charleston. Pregame recognition for Jefferson Awards Lead360 Challenge will also take place at The Joe. The game will be followed by another spectacular fireworks display over the scenic Ashley River.

Saturday, May 31, 6:05 pm: Social Media Saturday offers fans the chance to make requests to the RiverDogs on Facebook and Twitter for music, promotions and other ballpark features. Fans whose requests are chosen might see their name on the new video board. Barefoot Night is on tap with a wine sampling available outside of the Beer Garden. The City of Charleston will be celebrated at the contest, and its "Employee of the Year" will be invited to throw a ceremonial first pitch. Ballpark entertainment will be provided by The SweetRight Brothers, the big blue mascot tandem that tours Minor League Baseball venues throughout the season. Kids can also run the bases after the conclusion of Saturday's game.

Sunday, June 1, 5:05 pm: Sunday's game will be preceded by "Bark for Your Brew" at 3 pm. Participants can bring their dog to the park, enjoy a sampling of craft beers with their four-legged friend and stay for the game with their canine companion for Dog Day. Free fun is waiting for children on CCPRC and Crews Subaru Kids Club Sunday, sponsored by Y102.5. All children in attendance receive a coupon for a free hot dog, a fountain drink and chips for Kids Eat Free, courtesy of Pepsi. Parking is free on Sunday, and all members of Charlie's Kids Club get into the game for free. Pregame catch on the field and postgame autographs with the RiverDogs are also available for all fans. Seersucker Sunday features the RiverDogs playing in their snappy seersucker uniforms. Fans that wear seersucker can save $1 off their ticket purchase at the box office or donate that dollar to the Preservation Society of Charleston and the Historic Charleston Foundation. Visit the RiverDogs' new meat smoker to dine on a special dish from our celebrity "Smokin' Chef." Luau Night brings a festive finish to this homestand with live performances from fire dancers and Hawaiian-themed promotions throughout the afternoon.

This RiverDogs homestand takes Charleston into the month of June, which currently has 13 home games scheduled at The Joe.
