West Michigan Whitecaps News Release
COMSTOCK PARK, MI - The Detroit Tigers announced today that lefthanded pitcher Ed Clelland has been activated from the disabled list. Clelland has been on the West Michigan Whitecaps' roster for the entire 2005 season while on the DL.
Clelland was selected by the Tigers in the 20th round of the 2004 draft. He played that season with Oneonta in the New York-Penn League. Clelland appeared in 26 games and was 5-0 with three saves for the short-season Tigers affiliate.
This move brings the Whitecaps roster back to 25 active players, after the promotion of Randor Bierd to AA Erie last week.
