ECHL and Salvation Army Announce Joint Fundraising Effort

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The ECHL and The Salvation Army have announced several initiatives to help raise funds for hurricane relief efforts this season.

For every ECHL home opener, every goaltender will wear a red Mississippi Sea Wolves jersey. The league will also use commemorative pucks for all home openers in support of the league-wide campaign. After all the home openers have been completed, the jerseys and pucks will be available through a league-wide auction operated by the MeiGray Group. All proceeds from the auction will benefit The Salvation Army's Hurricane Relief Efforts and targeted to areas in Biloxi, Mississippi, and Beaumont, Texas. The auction will begin on October 21st and conclude on November 17th. Opening and closing times for the auction will be announced at a later group by the MeiGray Group.

Throughout the season, The Salvation Army logo will be displayed on all ECHL players' and officials' helmets.

Individual tickets are now available for the Condors October 15th pre-season home game versus the Fresno Falcons. Tickets are available at the Rabobank Arena Box Office, open at 10:00am on Saturday, by calling Ticketmaster at 322-2525 or ordering online at www.bakersfieldcondors.com.

The Bakersfield Condors open their 2005-06 ECHL season in 7 days at home on October 22nd. Individual tickets will be available today, October 15th, beginning at 10:00am.
