Ice Pilots Lose Pre-Season Game 6-3

Pensacola, FL - The Pensacola Ice Pilots lost their second and final preseason game on Saturday night 6-3 vs. Gwinnett at the Pensacola Civic Center.

Aaron Lewicki scored for the Ice Pilots :48 seconds into the game to take a 1-0 lead. Jared Ross of Gwinnett scored at 1:22 to tie the game at one. Dallas Steward scored his second goal of the preseason to give the Ice Pilots a 2-1 lead at the 2:08 mark. Gwinnett than scored four unanswered goals by Chris Durno, Pascal Pelletier (power play), Brad Fraser and Lane Manson (shorthanded goal) to lead 5-2.

Dominic Noel would score at the 8:24 mark for the Ice Pilots of the third period to make it a 5-3 game but Ryan Fultz would score at the 18:03 mark on the power play to give Gwinnett the 6-3 win.

The Ice Pilots had 29 shots on goal, 32 penalty minutes and went 0-6 on the power play. Gwinnett had 54 shots on goal, 32 penalty minutes and went 2-8 on the power play. Trevor Cunning was the losing goalie for the Ice Pilots and Tuomas Tarkki was the winning goalie for Gwinnett.

The Ice Pilots will begin the regular season at home on Friday, October 21 vs. Greenville at 7:05 p.m. and also play home to Gwinnett on Saturday, October 22 at 7:05 p.m.
