Right-hander Carlos Hernández went 5.0 innings, allowing four earned runs on five hits with six strikeouts and just one walk.

First baseman Nick Pratto led off the bottom of the sixth with a walk before Eaton earned his third hit in as many at bats, putting a pair of runners on with nobody out. Designated hitter Vinnie Pasquantino beat out a double play to put runners at the corners and left fielder Brewer Hicklen juiced the bases for Omaha with a walk.
