Earthquakes to Host Sacramento Republic FC in Fourth Round of Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on June 11
May 30, 2019 - Major League Soccer (MLS) - San Jose Earthquakes News Release
SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes will host Sacramento Republic FC in the Fourth Round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup on Tuesday, June 11 at Avaya Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
The Quakes hold a 17-14 all-time record in the U.S. Open Cup, including a 15-3 record against non-MLS teams. The match will be the Quakes' sixth at Avaya Stadium, where they have compiled a 4-1 record against Sacramento Republic FC (2015), the LA Galaxy (2015, 2017), Seattle Sounders FC (2017), and the San Francisco Deltas (2017).
San Jose and Sacramento have met twice prior in U.S. Open Cup play. After earning a 2-1 victory at Kezar Stadium in 2014, the Quakes then erased a two-goal deficit to tie the game and later win on penalty kicks in 2015. Both matches, like the upcoming showdown on June 11, were in the Fourth Round of the competition.
Earthquakes Season Pass Holders can use the Bonus Match B tickets included in their season package for all 2019 U.S. Open Cup matches at Avaya Stadium, excluding the tournament final. Season Pass Holders may also purchase additional discounted tickets by contacting their respective Account Service Representative. General fans can purchase single-game tickets via Ticketmaster, beginning on Wednesday, June 5 at 10 a.m. Groups of 10 or more should call the Earthquakes Front Office at 408-556-7700.
