San Jose Earthquakes News Release
SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes announced the festivities around the California Clasico match against the LA Galaxy on July 1 at Stanford Stadium, presented by Intermedia. The Bay Area's biggest summer sporting event features the 97th official match of MLS' longest standing rivalry, a military appreciation celebration, and the region's largest fireworks show postgame. Additionally, 30,000 fans will receive a Quakes jersey-shaped rally towel, presented by Intermedia.
Tickets for the California Clasico are available here. In addition to individual tickets, the Quakes are also offering a Fireworks Four-Pack deal that includes four tickets for just $100, available for a limited time only from May 11th - 14th. Tickets for a group of 10 or more can be purchased by calling the Earthquakes Front Office at (408) 556-7700 or by filling out an online form here. Group outings will get to enjoy a pre-game BBQ in the Chuck Taylor Grove picnic area.
The annual California Clasico at Stanford Stadium began in 2012 and was held each year through 2019, with an attendance of more than 50,000 fans every season. After a wildfire near Stanford caused a postponement of the match until September in 2022, the match returns to its traditional Fourth of July weekend date for the first time since 2019. San Jose holds a 5-2-2 record vs. LA at Stanford, with four come-from-behind victories.
Prior to entering the stadium, fans can indulge in a variety of food and beverage options in the Epicenter, including food trucks from local restaurants. The Epicenter will also feature a DJ and a youth zone with activities such as soccer darts, face painting, and a photo booth. The Epicenter will be available for enjoyment from 3-6 p.m.
Members of the military will be honored pregame on field. The match ball will then be delivered by a skydiver fromTeam Fastrax™, the largest professional parachute demonstration team in the world. Fans will also be treated to a flyover courtesy of the United States Air Force, featuring K-10.
Halftime will feature a celebration of America and the sport of soccer in partnership with Patrick Roberge Productions, a globally recognized creative agency. Following the match, fans will enjoy the largest fireworks show in the Bay Area, produced by Pyro Spectaculars by Souza, Inc.
