Earthquakes Face Seattle Sounders FC Tonight

San Jose Earthquakes News Release
SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes (2-3-3, 9 pts.) are facing the reigning MLS Cup champions Seattle Sounders FC (4-2-3, 15 pts.) tonight at CenturyLink Field, presented by Estrella Jalisco. The match kicks off from Seattle at 7:00 p.m. and will be broadcast live on NBC Sports California, KNBR 1050 and 1370 KZSF.
With the exception of the MLS is Back Tournament in Orlando earlier this summer, tonight's match marks the first regular season contest for the Earthquakes outside of California since Oct. 6, 2019.
Seattle, currently in third place in the Western Conference, has allowed just nine goals in nine matches to date. Their +7 goal-differential is second best in MLS (Columbus Crew SC +14) and best in the West.
San Jose and Seattle have met once already this season, facing off in the Group Stage of the MLS is Back Tournament and finishing in a scoreless draw.
