
Early Run Not Enough in 4-2 Loss

Game 1: LAKEWOOD, N.J. - The BlueClaws have now lost their third consecutive game against Hagerstown with a 4-2 loss Friday night.
After scoring a run in the bottom of the 1st inning on two doubles by Kyrell Hudson and Harold Martinez, the BlueClaws would not score again until the bottom of the 9th inning when they were already trailing 4-1.
Hagerstown scored a run in the 2nd inning, twice in the 4th inning and a run in the 8th to turn a one-run deficit into a three-run lead entering the 9th inning. Starting pitcher Colin Kleven pitched five innings, allowing three runs and was charged with his fourth loss of the season.
The BlueClaws and Suns do battle in Games 4 and 5 of their six-game series with a double-header Saturday night. Lakewood will send Lino Martinez to the mound (3-2, 6.15) in the first game, while the starting pitcher has yet to be named for the second game. First pitch for the first game is scheduled for 6:05 p.m.
