RHP Scott Carroll (6-4, 3.56) vs. LHP Everett Teaford (5-8, 5.34)
The Bulls play game three of a four-game series against the Charlotte Knights in the first series of a six-game homestand. Durham is 8-1 over its last nine games, but is still just 20-24 since the All-Star break. The Bulls have dropped 40 of their previous 68 contests to go from a 2.0-game lead in the IL South to a 7.5-game deficit. Charlotte - the Chicago White Sox top affiliate - is 6-7 over its last 13, and just 11-15 in August. The Knights enter today in 3rd place in the IL South, 4.5 games back of Norfolk for the division lead and 6.0 games back of Columbus for the Wild Card.
