Peoria Rivermen News Release
Mike Duco earned a hat trick and Eddie Lack made 30 saves as the Chicago Wolves beat the Peoria Rivermen 5-2 on Friday night at Carver Arena. Brett Sonne and Stefan Della Rovere scored Peoria's two goals as they saw their three-game winning streak, and four-game point streak, come to an end.

Chicago's Nathan Longpre opened the scoring late in the first period. At 18:22, Mark Mancari stepped out from behind the Rivermen goal and fed a wide-open Longpre between the hash marks. He rifled a quick wrist shot over the glove of Ben Bishop for his sixth of the season.
Duco scored at the 11:50 mark of the second period to build Chicago a 2-0 lead and start s string of three goals over the next 2:48. Duco shot the puck over the glove of Bishop from the left circle to score his first of the night. The Rivermen cut the lead in half 15 seconds later as Della Rovere ripped a turnaround shot over Eddie Lack's glove for his third of the season. Byron Bitz scored for Chicago at 13:38 to restore the Wolves' two-goal lead.
Duco scored his second goal of the period with just 50 seconds left.
The Rivermen cut into Chicago's lead again at 9:13 of the third period. Tyler Shattock took the original shot and Brett Sonne converted the rebound opportunity. It was Sonne's sixth of the season, surpassing his total from 2010-11.
The hat trick from Duck came on an empty-netter with 1:11 to play.
Both teams had 32 shots on goal. Peoria went 0-for-4 on the power play while Chicago did not score on their three opportunities.
