HOUSTON, TX -- Pierre Parenteau had a goal and an assist and Ilya Bryzgalov made 25 saves to lead the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks to a 3-1 victory over the Houston Aeros Tuesday at the Toyota Center.
Joel Perrault and Keith Aucoin also scored for Cincinnati, which snapped a three-game winless streak and moved past Houston into fourth place in the West Division.
Casey Hankinson earned an assist on Parenteau's goal to extend his point streak to a career-best eight games, while Chris Armstrong recorded a pair of assists to take over the AHL lead in scoring among defensemen with 30 points.
The win was the first in six tries for Cincinnati in Houston since the Aeros joined the AHL from the now-defunct IHL in 2001.
Stephane Veilleux scored the lone goal for the Aeros, who have won just once in their past 15 games (1-6-7-1).
Johan Holmqvist had 16 saves in the losing effort.
