SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS & PATRICK TO APPEAR ON FRIDAY

The one-and-only SpongeBob SquarePants is set to return to the Wachovia Spectrum this Friday, Jan. 30. Nickelodeon's SpongeBob and his buddy Patrick will be signing autographs and taking pictures with their fans who bring cameras. SpongeBob SquarePants episodes will also be shown in Bullies Sports Bar & Restaurant from 5:00-7:00 p.m.; two lucky fans will win SpongeBob prize packs; and SpongeBob pencils, erasers and magnets will be available at the SpongeBob table on the concourse.

SATURDAY IS DORA THE EXPLORER DAY

Nick Jr.'s Dora the Explorer will be appearing at the Phantoms game this Saturday, Jan. 31, courtesy of Comcast, to sign autographs and take pictures with fans who bring cameras. The first 1,000 kids will also receive Dora binoculars that day; Dora t-shirts will be given out throughout the game; and Dora key rings, bookmarks, gift packs, balloons and Nickelodeon magazines will be available at the Dora table in the 11th Street Atrium.

Also on Saturday, the Phantoms and Spring House Travel will be giving away a seven-day, six-night cruise for two adults on Norwegian Cruise Lines. The winner of the all-inclusive vacation will be announced during the third period.

INAUGURAL SEASON JERSEY AUCTION SET FOR SATURDAY

Jerseys from Philadelphia's inaugural season of 1996-97 will be auctioned off this Saturday, Jan. 31, when the Phantoms host the Milwaukee Admirals at the Wachovia Center. Proceeds will go to Phantoms Wives Charities.

A silent auction will take place on the concourse through the second intermission before all 18 jerseys are auctioned off live in Red Bell Microbrewery following the game. John Stevens, Neil Little and Peter White will be on hand to personally auction off their first-year jerseys.

In addition to Stevens, Little and White, other players' jerseys to be auctioned off on Saturday include Darren Rumble, Dave MacIsaac, Jeff Staples, Aris Brimanis, Colin Forbes, Shawn McCosh, Patrick Juhlin, Paul Healey, Bruce Coles, Jason Bowen, Jeff Mitchell, Brett Buininks, Dominic Roussel and Vladislav Boulin.

Philadelphia's first jersey auction of the season raised a total of $24,250 on Oct. 19, when the Phantoms wore special orange Halloween-themed jerseys with black spider webs. Goaltender Antero Niittymaki's No. 1 jersey sold for the most at $1,550, followed by defenseman John Slaney's #26 at $1,275.

NEXT CN8 TELECAST ON SATURDAY

The second of six Phantoms games broadcast live on CN8, The Comcast Network, will occur this Saturday, Jan. 31 at 3:00 p.m., when Philadelphia hosts the Milwaukee Admirals at the Wachovia Center. The CN8 broadcast team will include play-by-play announcer Mick Moninghoff and color commentator Orest Kindrachuk. CN8 is a leading regional news, sports and entertainment network that reaches 6.2 million homes spanning from Maine to Maryland

THIRD JERSEYS A SUCCESS

The Phantoms have recorded a shutout in both games they have worn their retro third jerseys this season (Jan. 16 vs. Hershey & Jan. 23 vs. Bridgeport). The team is scheduled to wear them again this Saturday vs. Milwaukee. The purple sweaters with white sleeves are scheduled to be worn for the final time on March 21 vs. Grand Rapids, when all the Phantoms players and coaches will head to Bullies following the game to auction off the jerseys, with proceeds going to the Phantoms Wives Charities.

THE KATINAS TO PERFORM ON CHRISTIAN NIGHT

Sponsored by Chick-Fil-A, the Phantoms' second-annual Christian Night on Friday, Feb. 6 will feature a postgame concert by the Katinas. Made up of Samoa-born brothers Sam, Joe, Jesse, John and James, the Katinas recently released their fourth album ROOTS, which sews together such sleek sounds as classic Motown, urban hip-hop, neo-soul and islands-influenced pop. Chick-Fil-A will have a table on the concourse with interactive games, as well as a promotion during an intermission.

$44 IN ‘04

The price of the popular Family Value Pack has been cut from $48 to $44 for the rest of the 2003-04 season. Widely considered the best deal in town, Phantoms Family Value Packs include four tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas and four Dave & Buster's Power Cards.

SHAME TO PERFORM ON FRIDAY

The Southeastern Pennsylvania-based band Shame will be performing in Bullies throughout this Friday's game vs. Hartford. Shame has released three independent records and gained enthusiastic public acceptance for sincere lyrics combined with infectious pop music melodies. The band will also play at Phantoms games on Feb. 20 and April 2.

MEYER ON "INSIDE THE PHANTOMS"

The next edition of "Inside the Phantoms" will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 27 at 4:30 p.m. with rookie defenseman Freddy Meyer. Hosted by David Unkle, the show features a player interview, news on the team and ticket giveaways every other Tuesday throughout the season on WNJC (1360 AM).

PHANTOMS POSTGAME SHOW CONTINUES ON JAN. 30

"RUMBLE WITH THE PHANTOMS" RETURNS FEB. 4

The Phantoms' weekly radio show, "Rumble with the Phantoms," is taking this week off and will return on Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 4:30 p.m. Hosted by Tom Shaw, the show features a player interview, news on the team and ticket giveaways every Wednesday on WNJC (1360 AM).

STUDENT TICKETS JUST $8 ON WEDNESDAYS & FRIDAYS

College and high school students with valid student IDs can attend all Phantoms games on Wednesdays and Fridays this season for just $8.
