
Maple Leafs Make Roster Moves

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced Tuesday that they have re-assigned defenceman Pierre Hedin to the St. John's Maple Leafs of the American Hockey League.
Hedin, 25, played three games for Toronto collecting one assist after his recall January 8. He collected his first career NHL point (assist) in his first career NHL game January 13 vs. Calgary. Hedin has also played 38 games for St. John's this season collecting 15 points (five goals, 10 assists) with four penalty minutes.
The native of Ornskoldsvik, Sweden was Toronto's eighth choice, 239th overall, in 1999 Entry Draft.
The Maple Leafs face the Hamilton Bulldogs tonight at Mile One Stadium. The game will be broadcast LIVE on Radio NL (930AM) and www.sjmapleleafs.ca starting at 7:30pm (NT).
