HAMILTON, ON -- Tomas Plekanec had two goals and an assist and Philippe Plante scored a goal and assisted on three others to lead the Hamilton Bulldogs to a 7-2 win over the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks Saturday at Copps Coliseum.

Steve Ott, a first-round pick by Dallas in 2000, and Jason Ward, a first-round pick by Montreal in 1997, each added a goal and two assists for the Bulldogs, who snapped a three-game losing streak with their first win in three tries this season against Cincinnati (1-1-0-1).

Dallas prospect Dan Ellis stopped 32 of the 34 shots he faced in the win for Hamilton, which went 3-for-12 on the power play.

Kurtis Foster and Zenon Konopka scored for the Ducks, who have lost four of their last five road games.

Frederic Cassivi surrendered three goals on seven shots before being replaced by Ilya Bryzgalov in the first period. Bryzgalov, who had given up just one goal in his previous two starts, allowed four goals on 22 shots in 46:20 minutes.

The Ducks (91) and Bulldogs (79) combined for 170 penalty minutes.

The Ducks begin a three-game homestand Wednesday against Cleveland at 7:35 p.m. at Cincinnati Gardens.
