Bruins take tough loss in Manchester

Providence, RI -- The Providence Bruins and Manchester Monarchs played the fourth game of their 10-game season series on Saturday night in Manchester, with the Monarchs taking a hard-fought 2-1 decision. The Bruins (20-13-2-6; 48 points) are now tied for third place in the Atlantic Division with Worcester and Lowell.

Bruin left wing Dan LaCouture scored on a second period power play, his ninth goal of the season. David Gove and Milan Jurcina had the assists. LaCouture has points (6-1-7) in five of his last six games.

Providence goaltender Hannu Toivonen made 34 saves on the night, and is 17-11-3 on the season.

The Bruins return home to host the Worcester IceCats on Sunday afternoon at 4:05 p.m.
