HOUSTON, TX -- Chris Bala and Matt Foy scored third-period goals to lift the Houston Aeros to a 3-1 victory over the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks Friday at the Toyota Center.
Mika Hannula also scored for Houston, which snapped a franchise-worst eight-game winless streak (0-6-1-1).
Johan Holmqvist made 22 saves for the Aeros, who improved to 4-0-1-0 all-time against Cincinnati in Houston.
Casey Hankinson scored the lone goal and Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 34 shots for Cincinnati, which has lost three straight and is 1-6-0-0 in its last seven.
The Ducks play tonight at 9:05 p.m. at Utah.
