Roadrunners Come Back to Defeat Crunch

The Toronto Roadrunners scored two goals in a minute and twenty eight seconds to defeat the Syracuse Crunch at the Ricoh Coliseum on Friday night, earning their second home win in franchise history. With the win, the Roadrunners record improves to 7-12-3-1.

The first period of the game was scoreless. Crunch forward Tim Jackman opened the scoring, recording his sixth goal of the season at 8:46 of the second period. Donald MacLean and Brad Moran earned the assists on the goal.

In the third, the Roadrunners rallied to tie the game when Jani Rita scored his sixth goal of the season at 13:01. Peter Sarno and Doug Lynch assisted on the goal. One minute and twenty eight seconds later, Mike Bishai netted the game winner with the lone assist going to Dan Smith.

Jani Rita, playing his first game after missing the team's last six due to injury was named the game's third star. Mike Bishai recorded his first game-winning goal of the season and was named the first star of the game.

In goal, Roadrunners starter Michael Morrison stopped 23 of the 24 shots he faced to earn his fourth win of the season. Crunch netminder Pascal Leclaire made 42 saves on 44 shots and was named the game's second star.

The Roadrunners next game is Saturday, December 6th, as they travel to Syracuse to complete the home-and-home series against the Crunch.
