CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Zenon Konopka scored the lone goal and Frederic Cassivi stopped 33 shots, as the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks blanked the Milwaukee Admirals, 1-0, Friday at Cincinnati Gardens.
Konopka notched his 11th goal of the season on the power-play just 53 seconds into the third period for his third game-winner of the season for Cincinnati, which extended its franchise-record home winning streak to eight.
Cassivi pushed aside seven shots in the first period, 10 shots in the second period and 16 more in the third en route to his third shutout of the season.
Brian Finley, a first-round pick by Nashville in 1999, made 22 saves for Milwaukee, which fell to 1-3-0-0 on its seven-game road trip.
The Ducks begin a two-game series Saturday against San Antonio at 7:35 p.m. at Cincinnati Gardens. NASCAR driver Tony Stewart will be on hand to drop the first puck, sign autographs for select fans and participate in intermission events.
