Edmonton swept a two-game series from Grand Rapids, getting two goals from J.J. Hunter in a 3-0 win on Wednesday, and two goals from Brad Winchester in a 3-1 win on Thursday... In other action on Wednesday, Zach Parise's overtime goal led Albany over Worcester, 4-3... Stephen Baby scored twice during a four-goal first period as Chicago downed Utah, 5-1... Lowell continued its climb in the Atlantic with a 5-2 win over Manchester.

LOOKING AHEAD:
It took more than three months, but in-state rivals Hershey and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton meet for the first time this season on Friday night when the puck drops at the Wachovia Arena... The clubs will play their entire 10-game season series over the final 11 weeks of the year... The Bears' Eric Perrin recorded 18 points (4g, 14a) in 10 games against the Penguins in 2003-04, and currently has 17 points in his last 13 games overall... Peter Budaj made 28 saves before stopping 13 of 15 shootout attempts in Hershey's 3-2 win over St. John's on Wednesday... Defenseman Ross Lupaschuk has seven points in his last six games for the Pens... Marc-Andre Fleury is 1-3-1 in January after going 13-2-2 in his previous 17 decisions.
Division leaders Binghamton and Rochester battle on Friday at the Blue Cross Arena, where the Amerks have won eight in a row... The Senators lead the East thanks to their current nine-game winning streak, while the Amerks are atop the North with a 21-3-1-3 record since Nov. 26... Denis Hamel has a point in 11 straight games (8g, 10a) for Binghamton, and leads all scorers with eight points in four contests against this season against his former team... Rochester rookie Thomas Vanek had back-to-back three-point games versus the Sens back in November... All-Star goaltender Ryan Miller has started 20 of the Amerks' 22 home games in 2004-05... Rochester is 100-106-20 all-time against AHL teams from Binghamton.
After taking the eventual champions to seven games in their division semifinal playoff series last spring, Cincinnati has split two meetings with Milwaukee this year entering their face-off at Cincinnati Gardens on Friday... The Mighty Ducks are 11-4-1-0 in their last 16 games, moving into third place in the congested West Division... Michael Holmqvist is on a five-game scoring streak for the Ducks, and Ilya Bryzgalov is unbeaten (6-0-0) in nine appearances since Dec. 4... Milwaukee wraps up its seven-game road trip with games in Grand Rapids on Saturday and in St. John's on Monday and Tuesday... Simon Gamache has already matched his output from last year with 56 points on the season.
