Wolves Send Berkhoel to Gwinnett

The Chicago Wolves have reassigned goaltender ADAM BERKHOEL (BUHRK-uhl) to the Gwinnett Gladiators of the ECHL.

BERKHOEL has notched a 0-1-0 mark with a 4.04 goals-against average and a .875 save percentage in one game with the Wolves this year, his rookie season. He has also registered a 1-0-0-3 record, a 2.82 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage in two stints with the Gladiators.

The St. Paul, Minn., native led the University of Denver to the 2004 NCAA Championship and was named the NCAA Championship Tournament MVP. BERKHOEL recorded a 24-11-4 mark with a 2.45 goals-against average in 39 games for the Pioneers.

The 23-year-old goaltender was acquired by the Thrashers from the Chicago Blackhawks in exchange for future considerations on June 27, 2004.
