EDMONTON, AB -- Kurtis Foster scored a second-period goal and Ilya Bryzgalov made 27 saves as the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks blanked the Edmonton Road Runners, 1-0, Saturday at Rexhall Place.

Foster's goal, his third of the season and first game-winner, came with 2:32 remaining in the second period as he beat Edmonton goalie Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers with a wrist shot from the deep slot.

Bryzgalov stopped five shots in the first period, nine shots in the second period and 13 more in the third en route to his first shutout of the season and 12th in his career, all in a Cincinnati uniform.

The win snapped a franchise-record 11-game road losing streak (0-10-0-1) for the Ducks, who finished their five-game road trip 1-3-0-1.

Drouin-Deslauriers, a second-round pick by Edmonton in 2002, made 21 saves in the loss for the Road Runners, who lost for just the fifth time this season in regulation (13-5-2-3).

The Ducks begin a two-game homestand Friday vs. Grand Rapids at 7:35 p.m. at Cincinnati Gardens.
