WORCESTER, MA â The Worcester IceCats dropped their third straight decision and saw their scoreless string run to 198:29 in Saturday's 6-0 loss to the Hartford Wolf Pack at the DCU Center.
Alexandre Giroux bagged a hat trick for the Wolf Pack, who now hold a 2-1 season-series lead. Jed Ortmeyer collected four assists in the game, including one on each of Giroux's goals. Jason Labarbara secured his third shutout, stopping 15 shots. Worcester's Curtis Sanford let up five goals on 16 shots and was relieved by Jason Bacashihua. He stopped 11 of 12.
The IceCats don't have long to sit on the loss. They get on the bus for a 4:05PM game at Portland Sunday afternoon. The âCats return home for games this coming Friday and Saturday.
