
Griffins call on Parillo

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. â The Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League on Saturday signed forward Nick Parillo to a professional tryout.
Parillo, 27, currently leads the Toledo Storm in scoring and is tied for 18th in the ECHL with 16 points (3-13â16) in 17 games. He played one game for the Griffins during the 2002-03 season, scoring a goal in a 3-2 win over Cincinnati on Dec. 27, 2002.
The Schenectady, New York, native has played in 17 career AHL games with Grand Rapids, Rochester, Milwaukee, Cincinnati and San Antonio, collecting three points (2-1â3) and 13 penalty minutes.
Parillo is expected to be in the Griffins' lineup tonight when they host the Utah Grizzlies at 7:30.
