May 15, 2021 - Texas League (TL)
Tulsa Drillers News Release
SPRINGDALE, AR- The Tulsa Drillers pitching staff was on point Friday night striking out 12 Northwest Arkansas Naturals batters in a 4-2 victory. Both pitching staffs were strong, but a big fourth inning helped the Drillers break through to secure the victory. Tulsa's starting pitcher, Ryan Pepiot, was impressive in the win, striking out 7 of the 14 Naturals batters he faced.
The only blemish on Pepiot's line came in the second when Nick Pratto hit a solo home run.
After three dominate innings by Naturals starter, Alec Marsh, the Drillers were able to get to him in the fourth. Ryan Noda brought in the Drillers first two runs on a double. Carlos Rincon added two more runs on his third home run of the season, giving Tulsa a 4-1 lead. The fourth inning proved to be key to the Drillers win as they would only get two more hits the rest of the way.
Northwest Arkansas added a second run on a home run by Dennicher Carrasco bringing the score to 4-2.
