Dragons Rained-Out on Friday

Lansing, Mich.- The Midwest League doubleheader between the Dayton Dragons and Lansing Lugnuts was canceled due to rain on Friday night at Lansing. The games will not be made up. The two clubs were also rained-out on Thursday.

The two teams began play at 6:05 p.m. in a light rain that slowly gained intensity as the evening progressed. The score was tied 2-2 in the top of the third inning when play was stopped and not resumed. Yorman Rodriguez was 2 for 2 with a run batted in and Kyle Waldrop had a run-scoring single for the Dragons, but statistics from the game will not be recorded.

The Dragons (19-26) return home to battle the Fort Wayne TinCaps (27-19) on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. in the first game of a three-game series (WONE 980 AM). Robert Stephenson (2-0, 1.29), the Reds 2011 first round draft pick, will start for Dayton against Fort Wayne's Matt Wisler (4-4, 2.68).
