Grand Rapids Fight Fest V Postponed Due to Rain

COMSTOCK PARK, MI - Greg Ahrens Professional Boxing along with Fifth Third Ballpark announced today that due to the inclement weather, the Grand Rapids Fight Fest V will be postponed until Friday, August 17th. The event featuring Cage Combat MMA, presented by Killer Fight Gear and Professional Boxing presented by Greg Ahrens will be held in the parking lot at Fifth Third Ballpark on the 17th.
Tickets for the August 10, 2012 event will be honored for the rescheduled date, current ticket holders do not need to exchange them. Gates for the event will open at 6:00 pm and the first bout is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
The event features twenty three year old professional boxer Jordan Shimmell from Hudsonville. Shimmell, who turned pro earlier this year, is 2-0 with two knockouts. The heavyweight previously won the World Golden Golden Gloves in 2007, the National Golden Gloves title in 2009 and the U.S. Golden Gloves championships in 2009 and 2011
